FFI Certified Instructor Marcus Schoen will be instructing on casting heavy rigs
This is on a private lake in Arvada, 6000 Eldridge Street Arvada, CO, 80004
Lunch is included.
After the class there will be the opportunity to go chase trophy Large Mouth Bass with Jeff Johnson
With bigger bugs and faster water coming soon, heavy flies/rigs will or may already be on the menu.
Whether it’s streamers or nymphs, heavy rigs can make casting a struggle
and even dangerous.
In this session, we will go over and practice some of the different
techniques we can use to make casting these
setups easier and keep us from finding out how much damage split shot
can do.
Skills we will cover:
-Loop Control
-Water Tension Cast
-Roll Cast
-Belgian Cast
-Tuck Cast
Please bring your own equipment to practice with, I will provide weighted
flies without hook points.
Waders recommended.
