Are you a fresh face in the world of High Plains Drifters or a complete novice to the art of fly fishing? If so, our Ambassador Program is tailor-made for you.

We understand that starting out in any new endeavor can be daunting, which is why we've developed this program to help new members like you hit the ground running. Whether you're eager to soak up knowledge from seasoned anglers or just looking for a friendly face to accompany you on the water, our Ambassador Program has got you covered.

What Can You Expect from the Mentorship Program?

Hands-On Learning: There's no better way to learn than by doing. With our program, you'll have the opportunity to get out on the water with HPD members who will show you the ropes and help you develop your fly-fishing skills. Say goodbye to feeling lost or overwhelmed when you are out on the water. The HPD Ambassador you are fishing with will work with you one-on-one to provide guidance and support every step of the way.

• Community Connection: Fishing is more than just a sport – it's a community. Through our Ambassador Program, you'll have the chance to connect with fellow HPD members who share your passion for fly fishing.  Spend a day fishing with the opportunity to possibly try new body of water while getting to know our club.

How Does It Work?

Getting started is easy. Simply e-mail Larry Lester @ larry.lester@hotmail.com.  Let Larry know a bit about you (type of water you like to fish, retired or still working 8 to 5, fly fishing experience) and he will pair you with a HPD Ambassador who will make contact and set a date to be on the water. 

If you are brand new to Colorado, or you have fished Colorado's rivers and lakes for years and joined HPD to see what we are all about, or you are new to fly fishing and joined to learn the sport our Ambassador Program is here to help you succeed.
