If your idea of a great day on the Colorado is hunting for that one fish instead of filling the pickle jar, Tanner “Troutbum” Glover may have the seat you're looking for.

Tanner has spent more than a decade fishing the Upper Colorado, often accompanied by his pack of Labrador retrievers, and he has a pretty simple approach to a day on the river:

Bank spankers preferred.

But that doesn't mean he's above watching a bobber when that's what the fish want—or throwing a hopper at every steady riser you find along the way.

Tournament day aboard The New Hotness will be about fishing the conditions, covering good water, learning different retrieves and techniques, and targeting the predatory browns that make fall on the Colorado so much fun.

Bring your favorite 6-, 7-, or 8-weight streamer setup and come ready to fish.

So Why Is She Called The New Hotness?

Because Tanner's boat is a brand-new custom-built 2026 Hyde drift boat—so new that we don't even have pictures of her yet.

Maybe it's pounding banks with streamers looking for an aggressive fall brown. Maybe it's changing retrieves until you figure out what makes one move. Maybe a good fish starts rising steadily and it's time to put a hopper over it.

And if watching a bobber is what puts the right fish on the scorecard?

Well... Tanner did say he could watch one.

The Colorado Classic is about competition, but it's also about spending a great fall day on the Colorado River, learning something, laughing a lot, supporting High Plains Drifters, and maybe finding the fish you'll still be talking about months later.

Tanner is donating his time and his brand-new boat so that every dollar raised from this seat goes directly back to supporting High Plains Drifters.
