HPD Carp Clinic August 21st - 9am
HPD's first Carp Clinic will be Sunday August 21, 2022
This will be a two location clinic - Starting at 9am we will meet at Gates Cresent park in Denver (See Map below). We will go over gear set up, presentation, and casting for Carp on the Denver South Platte. We will fish until 12 noon then break for lunch. After Lunch we will change locations to fish some still water for carp. We will meet at Little Dry Creek Lake (See map) at 1pm and go over still water presentation and stalking techniques. Hopefully everyone will hook up and get one heck of a fight!!!!!

There is no cost for this event. Please get a ticket so we know how many people are coming -
Tips and gear needed -
Wear polarized glasses and drab or camo clothing.
Wading boots and pants you don't mind getting wet are recommended.
Heavy jig head or dumbbell eye flies are best.
6 to 8 weight rod with a 15#/0x fluorocarbon leader recommended.
Bring a big net if you have one. Trout size nets can stay at home.
We will have extra leaders and Carp flies for those who need them.
Jeff & Chris will bring large nets and be available to help land your giant carp!!!!

Location #1 - 9am start time - From the Original Brooklyn's its a 1-2 minute drive.
Location #2 - 1 pm start time - 64th and Federal - Go east on 64th and you will see us on the right hand side!
