Volunteer as an Event Coordinator
High Plains Drifters – Event Coordinator Opportunities for 2026
We’re looking for a few great members to step up and help make our 2026 events run smoothly! Becoming an Event Coordinator is a simple and fun way to get more involved with HPD—without a huge time commitment.
Each Event Coordinator will handle just one event for the year. You don’t need to attend every board meeting—just the one prior to your event to review details and finalize plans. You’ll work directly with the President to get everything arranged, and on event day, you’ll be responsible for arriving early to open or set up, then helping with cleanup and closing when it’s over.
Here are the events that need coordinators for 2026:
-
Meeting Raffle – Coordinate the raffle prizes and tickets for our monthly meetings. (This is for every meeting - 10 total, you don't have to be at each one. We could have two members work this out)
-
Kids Day – Help organize a fun, educational day for kids to learn about fly fishing and conservation.
-
Summer Picnic – Work with the board to plan food, games, and a relaxing afternoon of fellowship and fishing.
-
Christmas Party – Work with the President to arrange the venue, food, and awards for our year-end celebration.
It’s a great way to give back, meet fellow members, and help keep HPD events running strong. If you’d like to coordinate one of these events, reach out any of the board members—your help makes a big difference!
