“Pass It On: Teach a Class with High Plains Drifters”
Teach a Class – Share Your Fishy Wisdom with HPD!
Hey Drifters,
We all know HPD is packed with talent — fly tyers, casters, stillwater wizards, streamer junkies, and bug nerds (you know who you are). Now it’s time to share that fishy wisdom with the rest of the crew!
We’re looking for members who want to teach a class in 2026. Don’t worry — you don’t have to be a world-class guide or a YouTube celebrity. If you can show someone a new trick, knot, or fly that helps them catch more fish, you’re qualified!
Classes can be short and casual — maybe a 30-minute demo at a meeting — or a full hands-on workshop at the park, fly shop, or even streamside. The idea is simple: teach something useful and have fun doing it.
If you’ve ever said, “I could show people how to do this,” now’s your chance! Not only will you help others become better anglers, but you’ll pick up new ideas yourself (and maybe a few fishing partners along the way).
Want to get involved? Reach out to one of the board members — or swing by our January 21, 2026 Trips and Events Meeting and we’ll get your class on the HPD calendar.
Let’s keep the fun, the learning, and the laughter rolling. After all, that’s what makes HPD one of the best fly-fishing clubs out there!
