February 2026 Fly Tying With Ralph - Caddis Love

The February Fly Tying With Ralph will be Feb. 14, 2026 💘 from 9 am to 11 am at the Orvis Park Meadows store.

 The Orvis Park Meadows Store is store is located at 8433 Park Meadows Center Dr., Space 149, Lone Tree, CO 80124. It is located outside of the mall on the south side near Perry’s Steakhouse.

 This month we will focus on top water caddis fly's.  The patterns can be tied on hooks ranging from 12 to 18.  We will cover the patterns materials and when to fish the fly's.  Tools to bring to make tying easier are scissors, hair stacker, hackle pliers, comb, half hitch tool and whip finisher.  Thread size in 30 to 70 DN will make tying easier.  You can buy most of these materials at Orvis, our sponsor’s store if you need supplies.

 

A recipe for the patterns to be tied are shown below.  The fly's are beginner to intermediate level.  Please bring your own hooks, beads and materials if you have them.   I will have some spares as needed.  If you don’t have a vice or tools, they will be available for the event.
